Smoothies provide the vitamins and minerals that children (and adults) need to be healthy, in a convenient and tasty way.
Here are some of our favorite kid-approved smoothie recipes.
These can easily be adapted for various dietary needs (dairy free, nut free, etc.) and are absolutely delicious.

STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 fresh banana, peeled
1 cup milk (I prefer almond milk in this one)
1 cup Ice
1 tablespoon honey, if needed to sweeten
DIRECTIONS:
Add all ingredients to a blender, and pulse until combined. Serve immediately.
(If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk. If it is too thin, add more fruit and/or ice.)

Carrot Pineapple Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 cups chopped pineapple
1 cup chopped carrot
1 cup ice
½ cup Orange Juice Not From Concentrate
1 banana
Directions:
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.

FRESH PINEAPPLE PEACH SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
3 ripe, fresh peaches, pitted and skinned
2 cups fresh pineapple, cut into 1” chunks (or canned, if fresh is not available)
½ cup non-fat Greek plain yogurt
1 cup milk
¼ cup agave nectar (or honey)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups crushed ice
Instructions
Place pitted and skinned peaches, along with cut up pineapple, in the freezer for 2-3 hours until hard but not solid.
Place partially frozen fruit in a blender with all other ingredients and puree until smooth.

Green Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup water
½ cup chopped cucumber
1 cup strawberries (preferably frozen)
1 banana, optional (preferably frozen)
1 apple, cored
2 tightly packed cups spinach
juice of ½ lemon
ice, if not using frozen fruit and you want your smoothie chilled
Instructions
Pack everything into your blender and let it run until it is smooth!

Sunrise Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 frozen banana
1 orange, peeled and segmented
4 - 6oz Vanilla Greek Yogurt
(I used a 5.3oz container of Vanilla Oikos)
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender then blend until smooth.

Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh raspberries (frozen would be fine too)

1/2 cup original almond milk
1 (5.3 oz) container strawberry or raspberry Greek yogurt
1/4 cup water
3 - 4 ice cubes (optional)

Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.
